Christopher Marks
It's most likely a tube worm or feather duster, common reef hitchhikers. They're beneficial filter feeders, a good sign of a healthy reef. Welcome to the community @Justanotherfishguy! 2 1 Quote Link to comment
classlesseagle3
Like Christopher said, most like a tube worm. Usually good but some can sting over coral. I'd try to take it off the shell if you notice it stinging or upsetting coral while the crab moves around. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Justanotherfishguy
Okay sweet thank you!!! Yea the crab changed shells. now it’s just sitting on a rock definitely double in size. Don’t have to worry about it messing with corals I haven’t put any in my tank yet. how would I go about taking it out of the shell if I need to?? If the time comes Quote Link to comment
