Singulari Posted September 17, 2002 Share Posted September 17, 2002 I have an Icecap 660 VHO ballast leftover from my 55. Can this be used to power PC bulbs? I am planning to setup a 20L (long not liters) and well all I really need is lights. Do VHO flourscent and PC use the same type of ballasts? Or am I going to burn down my house? :*( Link to comment

I opened up my light fixture and the wiring are totally crossed over.between the 2 ballast which is quite strange. Any site recommendation in this area will be appreciated. Thanks Link to comment

SLOreefer Posted September 30, 2002 Share Posted September 30, 2002 the 660w is not going to be used totally if you arent running thaat high rated of a bulb. the 660 is made from 2-4 bulbs so you arent going to get 660 out of two bulbs obviously. you can mix and match the bulbs if youd like....just remember that a 96w pc is the same as a 110w vho....just a question...why dont you just use vho bulbs?
