I have a fluval evo 13.5 that I’ve had running for about 5 months now with 2 clowns a Duncan coral and another coral I’m not really sure the name of Bc it was given to me free. I wanted to know yalls thought on dosing?? I do water changes every 2 weeks, I got these corals 3 days ago and they have been open since!! I am planning on getting a hammer coral pretty soon. Just wanted to know if I should dose or not I’ve heard that water changes will be enough since the tank is so small.

Dosing should be done to replenish what the corals consume.

At this point with 3 corals, should be unnecessary to dose.

When you think you are ready you need to

Test newly mixed saltwater to determine alk target number.

Test tank after water change to see what the tanks alk is at- should be pretty close to the new salt water mix

Test alk every day to monitor consumption.

Then determine if there is a need to dose and dose to replenish the loss of alk according to its usage by corals.
