deetu
At first I thought this was coraline because I've been feeding my pink but it has a lip that turns up. When I see images of cyano, it is flat and spreading. It is about the size of a quarter and on a small piece of rock so would be easy to remove if bad. My tank is FOWLR and macro only. Joevember
Looks like encrusting coralline algae. Some species look like montipora when they grow out. Nice critter! This is an example from reefcleaners Quote Link to comment
Thrassian Atoll
Is it soft or hard? 1 Quote Link to comment

Nice critter! I touched it and it felt hard but think I may have been feeling the rock under since it is so thing. That would be really cool if it is encrusting coraline. Someone else on another site suggested plating sponge which looks the same. I guess I will just have to wait and see what it becomes 2 Quote Link to comment
