Nanocube: The evolution

anyways, here is the evolution of my new nanocube, bought the tank and equipment two weeks ago, its been setup for almost a week so far. I had a 55 gal reef tank in highschool with was not a success do to a long and brutal fight with brown diatoms. Gonna give it another shot a few years later.

 

HARDWARE:

nanocube(duh)

1 * 24 watt JBJ stock lighting

1 * 32 watt CSL retrofit kit

1 Profile 601 PH

50 watt heater

Little temp Thermometer

 

 

ROCK AND SAND:

2 pounds of figi LR

1 pound of tonga branch LR

15 pounds of agra-alive figi pink LS

 

 

LIVESTOCK:

2 scarlet hermits

 

 

WATER SPECS:

mid week

ph 8.2

ammonia .25

nitrite 0

nitrate 0

alk HIGH

well, tank has survived a week. Here it is currently, put another 4 pounds of figi rock in, wont put more in, i'm happy with the layout, it has a nice cave in the middle with overhangs and such. Also put in 3 snails to help with the diatoms. I limited the lighting period down to about 9 hours. Also did a 15% water change. Hopefully the diatoms will die out soon.
