PapoReef
Hello guys! I am in the process of setting up a new tank, and I already have most of the hardware. I am missing a wavemaker(s), and I thought I'd ask based on others experience. The aquarium will be 40" long, 15" deep and 15" tall. I was between a gyre (or two 1k maybe) or normal wavemakers. Also hate the cables, so a couple of MP10 would be cool also, but id like to put the mp10 in the back. Would you guys think 2 or 3 mp10 in the back would work? Or would it be better to have 1 or two gyres on each side? 2 gyres in the back? Would love to be able to hide the cables as best as possible. Thanks for reading! Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Mp10's are the most popular and highly recommended. Not sure how many you would need. With a return, I would think 2 would work. Quote Link to comment
Aurortpa
I love my gyre. Just clean it once every few months and keep the screens on it tidy weekly, works great. Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
If you can swing the MP10's.... they will look the cleanest on the back of the tank by far. I would just start with two. I dislike my gyre compared to my MP10's 😮 Gyre is such a pain to clean vs my MP10's.... no cord so you just pull them off and bring to the sink.... so ez! Quote Link to comment
