The bug got me. I love my pico but stocking is so limited. I gave in and got this Aqua Japan AJ-Q60 yesterday and I am beginning setup today. At the moment I’m working on the scape and once I get something that looks good it’s getting filled up. How does this first attempt look?

I really like that aquascape!

I liked that style but it was very short compared to the height of the tank. I ended up doing two piles and I’ll fill it in a bit more with rock from the pico

Well I have all my equipment so far! Snagged a used A160WE, stand, and controller then got a Via 100w heater and Koralia 600. I’ll add more flow if needed and plan on adding an Inkbird. Ammonia is still around 5 and nitrite at 2. I’m hoping to move everything over soon and start adding fish

I have neglected this thread but all is well. I added a tricolor Lubbock’s fairy wrasse about a month ago and a pair of snowflake clowns last week. Most of my corals have been moved to this tank along with some new purchases and pieces from my neighbor. I haven’t been giving the tank a lot of attention because of school and work but it’s doing well  82F0E9CE-C048-4BEC-BE61-18FA033D07CF.thumb.jpeg.274ae4fa2c823367716e4f8893d9b4f1.jpeg

Thinking of buying this tank.  seems to be the cheapest all in one out there!  I went a bought a simple 20 gallon aqueon tank last night (black friday) 20 bucks.  We were going to remove rim, hubby build a cabinet, drill bottom and convert to a saltwater system.  After I picked it up and did more research I realized this isnt possible.  Cant drill, not tempered glass and making it rimless, could just explode from pressure!  Haha. I have been online for a week researching saltwater fish, coral and all.  Trying to find used ones, just crazy but all my research wasnt enough!  Its going to be to hard to maintain.  Better to just buy new and not have to do weekly water changes and crazy cleaning to maintain a tank with no skimmer, ect.  So I found this one!   I love the looks of it!  The rounded corners!  Can you fit all the things you need in the back?  Looks beautiful!

Sorry I just saw this! The tank has been great so far just be careful with the gaps in the lid, I’ve lost a frostbite clown and maybe my wrasse to jumping out. There is plenty of room in the back for your heater, media, and whatever else you need. The rounded corners are unique but a little harder to clean. I do a water change once every week to two weeks and all is well. No dosing and most of my corals are doing well. I’ll add some update pics in a bit

Most of my corals still haven’t been permanently attached anywhere. Partly because I still haven’t decided on a final layout partly because they won’t stick and get knocked over. The corals that aren’t doing well are usually the ones that were knocked over. The clowns are happy and I’m debating what fish to add next. I’m thinking a blenny, goby, gramma, or maybe even a Pygmy geometric hawk.

Finally glued stuff down and started working on final placement. I’ll probably get a BTA in the next week and maybe some new inverts.

Wish list:

BTA

Pygmy hawk

Pink streaked wrasse

Blenny of some sort

Cleaner shrimp

Tuxedo urchin

Other unique inverts
