justinkdenny
So I have been trying to get this cycle done for a while now. Ammonia will go to 0 in 24 hrs after dosing but my nitrites are 1 ppm every time I test them. I know the tank is processing the nitrites because nitrates are through the roof. What would you do next? Clown79
Nitrites aren't very dangerous in SW. How much ammonia is processed in 24hrs? You want 2ppm to process in 24hrs. How long have you been cycling? I'd do a good size waterchange to reduce nitrates and test all the next day. 2 Quote Link to comment
Natereef
I agree, if your nitrates are through the roof I would do a water change to get it down to 5-10 ish because having high nitrates can stall a cycle. ALso cycling nitrite takes the longest in my opinion. Quote Link to comment
