ajkochev
Title says it. If you've had success getting acans to grow well in your tank I'd like to hear what you are doing to make it so. 1 Quote Link to comment

I have seven different types of acans and I do not do anything for them. 🤷🏻♀️ They eat whatever food they can catch but I do not directly feed them. 1 Quote Link to comment
Joevember
Persistant feeding. You may not see growth at first, but if you give tgem time you'll see noticable growth. My first acan was 2 heads for six months after buying it. I'd recommend feeding twice a week right before lights turn off. Quote Link to comment
Nano sapiens
The general rule for my system (may not apply to all reef tanks): To maintain 'as is', feed weekly. To get them to grow moderately feed 2-3x/week. To really get therm popping out polyps, feed daily like you would a NPS Dendro 😋 Interestingly, 'Acans' (now Micromussa lordhowensis), aren't from your typical coral reef environment (at least not those from Australia). https://reefbuilders.com/2019/04/12/welcome-to-acansland-the-land-of-micromussa-lordhowensis/ Quote Link to comment
Mike P
I feed mine 2-3 times a week and they have been growing pretty good. I see new heads popping up frequently. Late April 2019 Last week Early April 2019 Last week 1 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
I feed reef roids 1 time a week, nothing else special done to get them to grow. Quote Link to comment
FlytheWMark
I feed reef roids every 3 days. I also find for mine, light to light/moderate flow helps tremendously. I moved most of mine into my 20 gallon tank where it gets better flow and I saw the growth go completely nuts (probably tripled in size in 5 months) Quote Link to comment
