Haven't had a tank in a while, is bare bottom still a thing?

Love Bare bottom tanks. Provides a whole new place to grow coral. I run about 100x flow and don’t have to worry about sand and stuff flying everywhere. Black bottoms do look better imo but that may be because my halides bleach Coraline algae.

Started my IM 25g lagoon with sand...took it out after a month lol. I've had both sandbeds and bb tanks before and prefer bb. Just easier to manage and I like the clean look.

I like bare bottom tanks, and supposedly monti's will adhere just fine to glass, you can peel it off acrylic when it overgrows though, so maybe laying something down would be a great idea for fragging down the line.
