AquaClear Product Packaging?

I ordered an AquaClear made by Hagen through Amazon which was delivered yesterday.  Swung by Petco last night and they're selling the AquaClear under the Fluval brand.  

 

Are these the same?  Did Fluval buy out Hagen?  Which of the two are most members running on their tank?  I'd had to open the Hagen AquaClear just to learn I bought the wrong one.
