When and how much of a water change?

Hey guys,

I have a 60 gallon reef tank with a 10 gallon sump (70 gallons total).

My nitrates are between 12-15 right now.

How much and how often should I do a water change to get them back down to 5 or less?

Whats a good starting point?

If you change 10 percent of the water you will only drop the nitrates by 10 percent.. if you really wanted them down I would do a 50 percent wc and be done with it.. honestly 12-15 isn't bad at all I wouldnt worry about it , as long as your corals look good ...

 

What's your wc schedule like now? And how many gallons have you been changing?
