MorganEFM
Hi! I’m new to this forum and saltwater tanks so hello! So...I have seen many gorilla crabs from my tbsaltwater live rock. However, there is one crab that just doesn’t look like the rest of them. He he has hairy legs, but is red and his body is all smooth. And he has white claws instead of black. I can’t ID him but I’m wanting to know if he is a bad crab for reefs (I know it’s debatable whether truly “reef safe” crabs exist) as I’m hoping to add my first corals in the next few weeks. Im looking for some ID help. I’ll try to attach better photos if I can get some. 1 Quote Link to comment

Algae eaters will have “scoops” on the end of the claw instead of “points”. Quote Link to comment
