Torch help!

Our torch that we recived via swap aprears to be dying on the one head. it had a crack on it going down it and now the tentacles arent extending and the tissue around it is dissappearing. the other head now has its tentacles in and won't extend them. Should I cut the one head off, if so how. Or should i let him try to heal, if possible??

that torch doesn't look like it's doing so well.. the head on the left looks like it's on it's way out with the dreaded brown jelly disease, but the one on the right doesn't look as bad. my torches look like that when they shut down on a daily basis, but they always come back. i'd just wait it out. and i wouldn't try to cut that thing either. it looks like there's tissue connecting the two heads, and that would be a bad idea to cut that. if you lose the head on the left, the tissue will eventually recede back to the surviving head. like i said, i would just wait it out, and make sure that it's not getting too much flow. good luck.
