new zoo's

I just got my first zoo's yesterday. picked up a very small frag of green ones. Its my 1st coral. This morning most had already opened up, but some weren't and I noticed there were pods crawling all over them. Is this bad? Should I try to get the pods off? My tank does have an insane amount of them so it will be hard.
