Orbit on my 30g and I like the Actinic light beter then the Actinic ans the daylight light on togather.I was thinking of tanking out thethe daylight out and puting in one more Actinic so there will be 2 blue lights. So what i am trying to say is, is it ok to have the 2 blues on and all of the life in my reef will be ok. Link to comment
jaguilar Posted September 22, 2004 Share Posted September 22, 2004 the actinic bulbs are more for looks than anything else.. all photosythetic corals need the daylight bulb for growth. they will get more beneficial light from the daylight bulb than from the actinic alone. but if you like the bluer look, i would suggest that you change out the daylight bulb for a 50/50 bulb(daylight/actinic), that way your corals get at least some beneficial daylight. and it will be a lot bluer also.
