AlmightyJoshaeus
Hi everyone! I have been thinking of setting up a 1 gallon mangrove jar. It would have about 4 inches of live sand, macroalgae, and a mangrove growing up and out of the system. How well would such a system work, and how would I light it? Thanks 🙂 Quote Link to comment
Joevember
Sounds cool, like a marine house plant! I'd make sure that it has nutrients in the water so it stays healthy. If you have ever done hydropontics, you need to dose nutrients in the water when the plants look a little off. Because it is a plant, you can use a hortaculture light, freshwater plant light, or a different plant grow light. Quote Link to comment
AlmightyJoshaeus
Thanks! Was going to use old water from my NPS tank, so it should have no shortage of nutrients. Quote Link to comment

That works out perfectly. Gotta make a journal for it. You could also put some cool macros in there. Quote Link to comment
AlmightyJoshaeus
I will 🙂 However, need to finish the NPS garden first, so it's going to be a few months. Don't hesitate to take a look at my NPS garden journal, by the way 🙂 1 Quote Link to comment
