Mace
Hi, I’ve done a little research and can’t find exactly what I’m looking at in my tank. I set up my first 24 gal nano cube about five weeks ago so I’m very new and unknowlageable. Purchased about 20 lbs of live rock from the $6.99 lb tank at the store and I’m starting to notice a few things that maybe someone can help ID for me. First, the porous disc on the rock, it looks dead, and I saw it when i set everything up I just don’t know what it is. Should I remove it? And just today I noticed about 10 tiny clear things with tentacles sprouting off the rock. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Mace
Also, these purple looking pods popped up all over. Quote Link to comment
Joevember
1st: looks like a dead sponge. 2nd: haven't seen anything like it before. 3rd: the purple spots are corraline algae. Quote Link to comment

It's up to you ultimately. I liked mine. 1 Quote Link to comment
