Another hitchhiker ID

Hi, I’ve done a little research and can’t find exactly what I’m looking at in my tank. I set up my first 24 gal nano cube about five weeks ago so I’m very new and unknowlageable. Purchased about 20 lbs of live rock from the $6.99 lb tank at the store and I’m starting to notice a few things that maybe someone can help ID for me. First, the porous disc on the rock, it looks dead, and I saw it when i set everything up I just don’t know what it is. Should I remove it? And just today I noticed about 10 tiny clear things with tentacles sprouting off the rock. Thanks.

Also, these purple looking pods popped up all over.

1st: looks like a dead sponge.

2nd: haven't seen anything like it before.

3rd: the purple spots are corraline algae.

2) a type of hydroxide

3) either coraline or foramineferins

Do you mean hydroid, instead of hydroxide?

Aha☝🏻 Hydroids! I saw some google images that match exactly. Thanks. Should I remove them? Or are they safe

I've personally never had a problem with them. Some people claim that they can sting coral.  It's up to you ultimately.  I liked mine.

Cool, I guess they can stay at my place for now. Thanks for the info, it was racking my brain trying to figure those little guys out.
