reefer2290
Im thinking about fragging my candycane coral. I heard that you can just break a piece off. Can I do this in the water or do I have to take it out of the water? Link to comment
6000
You can do it either way, but if you're going to do it out of the water make sure the coral is completely closed up first because the tissue could tear. Also, try to break it as far away from the tissue as possible. Link to comment
EtOH_is_good
out the water would be easier, but make sure the heads are closed up like 6000 says. Link to comment
Korbin
Don't break too close to the polyp head. There's soft tissue a little ways down the stalk on the inside. Also be prepared for a difficult break. Maybe have a dremel or some kitchen shears handy. Those things can be tough. Don't snap a frag and send it flying across the room. Link to comment
