Does anyone have a NON HD prime and keeping a BTA?

I have a biocube 14 and non hd prime and trying to find a successful program to keep my bta healthy ( currently residing higher in the tank) and not bring all the algae.

Yep, ran it ~30% in my 8 and now it’s in my 20 long and run them around 65%

Lighting doesn’t magically make algae.

I'm aware but I've also read that people with higher reds and greens coupled with other factors have seen an uptick in algae. I don't have a heavy bioloaf at all and typically only feed every 2-3 days.

Check out the BRS AB+ settings. They won't be exact for the non HD, But it should give you a pretty good place to start. It pushes the UV and Violet way up (above 100% on HD) with the Blue and Deep Blue @ about 80%, White at about 20%, and red and Green @ 4% (i think). They tested and designed this to mimic the, VERY successful, Radion AB+ program.
