ENGINEER
What would be an adequate cleaning crew for a 5.5g? Link to comment
Crakeur
search the forums (using the search function) and you will find multiple posts on this (down Dave, no attack). Check out various retail websites and they will also have their own suggestions. Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
I would suggest a couple of blue- or red-leg hermits, then about 6 or so baja snails. Bajas are hard workers and will clean between the glass and sand. Snails will do more work than hermits, the hermits are fun to watch though. Tasha Link to comment
printerdown01
I would like to add, you will probably benifit more from a mixture of snails... baha, astrea, conch, nerite, margarita, cerith.. the list goes on and on... I like to keep my tanks heavy on the astrea, but that is just a personal choice. Each snail is better at eating certain algae than other snails. Baha, astrea, and margarita do eat a wide variety of algae... Link to comment
