I would suggest a couple of blue- or red-leg hermits, then about 6 or so baja snails. Bajas are hard workers and will clean between the glass and sand. Snails will do more work than hermits, the hermits are fun to watch though.

I would like to add, you will probably benifit more from a mixture of snails... baha, astrea, conch, nerite, margarita, cerith.. the list goes on and on... I like to keep my tanks heavy on the astrea, but that is just a personal choice. Each snail is better at eating certain algae than other snails. Baha, astrea, and margarita do eat a wide variety of algae...
