oceanboy
I just got a bunch of nice corals from reefapalooza today (yay). However I got the corals and rock flower anemones from 3 different vendors. Do you think I can drip acclimate them all in one bucket or do I have to acclimate them in groups according to which vendor I got them from? I’m not sure if the vendors all have the same water parameters/water source or if they’re different and I need to acclimate them separately. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
seabass
Most corals and rock flower anemones only need floating to temperature acclimate. I wouldn't try to drip acclimate them all together. Quote Link to comment
tanacharison
I believe almost all of the vendors at RAP used the same water mixture provided by two little fishes. 1 Quote Link to comment
seabass
Even so, if there is ammonia in one of the bags, you are exposing everything to it. If you wish to drip acclimate, it's probably better to do so individually. But I don't really see the need; floating should suffice. 1 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
I like to float my bags for temp acclimation and then they are dipped and placed in the tank. Less stress and less chance of any issues with ammonia. Quote Link to comment
