scarletknight06 Posted September 9, 2004 Share Posted September 9, 2004 man hermits are mean little guys. they used to be really cool to watch in my tank, now i dont even see them. but 2 weeks ago i added some nass snails and today i notice 3 out of 4 hermits are in the nass snails shells. did the little jerks eat them? anybody else have this problem? they do have empty shells to switch around in. oldtimer Posted September 9, 2004 Share Posted September 9, 2004 Before you start up a reef tank of any size, do some reading and study. Hermit crabs are not born with shells, they steal them. If the original occupant is edible, they eat it. The marine aquarium is not for the faint hearted, it's a jungle. Link to comment
