AlmightyJoshaeus
Hello all! I am planning on setting up a dwarf seahorse tank over the next year, but before I start I need to learn how to kill pesky hydroids. I have heard Fenbendazole works for this...what dosage should I use? I have the liquid goat dewormer form at 100 mg/mL. Thanks PS...will this treatment kill sponges? Quote Link to comment
jamescstein
If you are worried about getting hydriods from brine shrimp eggs just decapsulate the eggs before you hatch them. The decapsulation process will also kill any hydriod eggs that may be with the BS eggs. Quote Link to comment
AlmightyJoshaeus
Hydroids get in tanks on just about anything...I already have live rock and macroalgae in the tank, so I am going to need to prep treat for hydroids before adding any seahorses. Quote Link to comment
Boggers
This is a good read: http://seahorse.com/forum/hydroids-my-dwarf-tank It does mention a heat treatment of +92 for 3-5 days can eliminate most Hydroids. Quote Link to comment
