Cesar
I even heard that they differece in agressiveness too. Now thats what I heard. I think they say that real percs are more agressive than false Link to comment
ozadars
False percula has 10-11 dorsal spine but true percula has 9-10. However they might both have 10 and their coloration might be the same. The rings around the eyes are darker on false percula but you need to see their pictures to compare the eye rings. Also true percula is smaller but more territorial and false is bigger but more peaceful Link to comment
ApocalypticSurf6
well I have a false who is very territorial and aggressive, it is definitly a false though Link to comment
JustPhish
Yep dorsal spines is a good way to tell. Another good way at a good honest shop would be price. Trues are going to be more than false. Link to comment
brahm
does it really matter, if the fish is healthy and looks nice get it. Link to comment
Duke13
True Perculas have more black around their white stripes. Also, they're not quite as hardy as the False Perculas (Occelaris). Link to comment
