Jzagami
Hi everyone, Starting my new 10 gallon reef project tonight. I’m using a JBJ Cubey with LED lighting and beginning with 11 pounds of caribsea dry live rock. Let me me know what you think so far! 3 Quote Link to comment
Lugmos12
Looks good. I would make a little more room between the rock and the glass. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Looks good. I agree, the rockwork is tight which can become a problem for keeping things clean and coral placement 1 Quote Link to comment
tdannhauser30
I like that you opened up the rocks a bit once water was in to create a little pocket in the rocks, but it still gets light. Will be a good spot for a little mushroom garden or other low flow corals. Again like they both said above try to keep as much room as you can between the sides, front, and back of the tank. Think about when you have to scrape glass, pick up corals that have inevitably been knocked down by that pesky hermit, etc. More space for you to work in tank=better. Cool scape though and nice purple rock! 1 Quote Link to comment
Jzagami
So I removed the stock hood and upgraded to a maxspect razor LED lighting system. 2 Quote Link to comment
tdannhauser30
That light makes that tank 10x sweeter lol. I wonder if you could cut that top white trim off of it and make it rimless. Would look super super sharp but idk what it would do to tanks structure. Quote Link to comment

Definitely a needed upgrade for corals down the road. I love the programming feature too. I didnt want want to mess with the trim since it may be structurally necessary for the glass. (Rimless tanks have thicker glass I believe) Heres another pic with some more blue ? 1 Quote Link to comment

Christopher Marks
Nice system setup @Jzagami, I like the white trim on the JBJ Cubey, that's a clean look. I'm going to move your topic to the Aquarium Journals forum, keep us posted on your nano reef's progress! 1 Quote Link to comment

tmoore
Do you have any pictures that have clear water with the included hood? Is there a reason that you changed the lights from the included hood? Quote Link to comment
