Squat lobster survival rate

Has anyone been able to keep a squat lobster for longer than a few months? It seems like everyone who posts about one only manages to keep them for a few months.

I didnt realize they had a short survival rate. I really like the look of them and have been waiting for one locally to get.

I have one I got as a hitchhiker.... super small when he arrived ..... about half the size of my pinkie nail.  Had him about a year now.

My gf and I were able to keep our Mr. squat for a little over a year and a half. We tried to make an effort to spot feed him every so often. Also learned he had a taste for pest bristle worms.
