Ediable seaweed

Subsea

After renewing  contact with Professor Samocha at AgriLife for Texas A&M, I am “pumped up” to grow grass shrimp in three 150G Rubbermade tanks buried in the ground  coupled with a 150G glass tank to grow people ediable Gracilaria Tikvahiae.

Another Professor from UT has advised me to sterilize culture water for mariculture of seaweed.    Three mariculture handbooks all said to sterilize seaweed culture water.   So, grass shrimp are feed organic food which produces organic nutrients in 450G culture system, then submersible pump flows 250 GPHr thru a 40W UV sterilizer to 150G Glass tank for Gracilaria Tikvahiae.

Professor Samachoa is an expert in zero discharge shrimp farming.  Living in a drought suffering area, I will apply for a zero discharge  permit if this prototype system works.  When I told Professor Samachoa that I only wanted to do moderate shrimp production in my Rubbermade vessels, he asked me how was I going to make a profit with margins on shrimp market so very tight.  I thought he was going to choke when I told him I got $0.50 per shrimp.
