pyrrhus Posted September 4, 2004 Share Posted September 4, 2004 goniopora or alveopora the only real difference is the amount of tentacles on each polyp. they tend to be more of a lagoonal type coral, and prefer lower flow rates. at any rate they have a notoriously poor survival record with most doing well for a year or so then mysteriously eroding away from the base upward. corriewf Posted September 5, 2004 Share Posted September 5, 2004 That is most likely goniopora.I believe its 24 tentacles vs 12 for alveopora.I have a alveopora and they are relatively easy to keep vs its evil twin. Link to comment
