hypothesis: hermits = drag queens of the sea

Dropped a single new shell in my tank maybe 1.5 hours ago. I only have two hermits, but one already spotted it and is currently wrestling with it to try it on. I bought it for the smaller hermit, concerned maybe it needed a bigger shell. The bigger hermit - that is currently trying on the new shell - already has exactly the same sized shell as the one I just put in! But I shouldn't be shocked because ANY time I put new shells in the hermits rush to try them on.

Pretty new shells with no algae or scratches or blemishes? Yes please! lol

 

For this reason I have decided that all hermits must be drag queens. They must look fabulous ALL the time and they must always be sportin' the hottest new fashions. Work it, hermits!
