aablkhawk
Update on the tank. Been quite a while, lots of changes. Added the following: -2 black and white clowns -A peppermint shrimp to try and kill the aiptasia -A starry blenny -A six line wrasse -A diamond goby -A fire shrimp -An orchid dottyback -An anthia -Two bubble tip anemones -Rock Flower anemone -Two feather duster worms The peppermint disappeared overnight with a fat and closed up anemone. We replaced it with the fire shrimp. Who also disappeared without a trace. The 6 line just recently disappeared without a trace as well. So I decided the BTAs needed to go. LFS said they didn't think it was the anemones but there is no other explanation. I have a 29 gallon tank, not many hiding places, and when I got rid of the BTAs I rearranged all the rocks, still with no trace of the shrimp or fish. Lid is always on the tank. I've also added the following corals: -Multiple types of zoas -Hammer coral -Sun coral -Leather toadstool -Mushroom corals -Orange montipora -Jackolantern leptoseris -Purple Staghorn -Two flower pot corals -Pipe organ coral I'm testing my levels roughly twice a week. Haven't had a single test since my last post show ammonia, nitrate, or nitrite. All other levels have been stable, haven't had to dose anything. Using the charcoal biocube filter, with chaeto in the fuge. Removed the sponge from the 3rd chamber. Changed the light from the MH to an AI Prime HD Tank seems very happy. I'm just itching to get a bigger tank now. Quote Link to comment
RIP Sebastian
You really should not have any anemones in your tank unless it is 6+ months old (you have to be sure it is stable). Also, you are WAY overstocked regarding fish. With a pair of clownfish, you should really only have 2 or 3 more fish, max. Additionally, that diamond goby will die on you. They require microfauna in the sand bed. Nanos hardly have enough to sustain them, let alone a new tank. It sounds like you really need to start doing your research. I am not trying to be mean, I just want to help you be successful long term in this hobby. PLEASE return the anemones and all fish except for a total of four to your LFS. Again, not trying to be mean, just pointing out a few mistakes. -Nick 1 Quote Link to comment
