JBJ Nano....couple of months old....has 13# of excellent, fully cured LR from another tank....

added zoos, polyps and 6 stalks of xenia about 1 month ago....all was well....

measured 20 ppm nitrates last 2 weekly tests....found that I had left a sponge in the first compartment (all other stock stuff was never used....some LR rubble was in compartment 2 from day 1)..

decided (DOH!!!) to add a small dose of PRIME to see if the nitrates would dissipate......

well, the zoos and polyps have never looked better.....the xenia that looked fine this AM when I left for work are all retracted into their stalks and look stressed.....

I also recently raised dkH from 9 to 11 with baking soda (like 2 days ago)...as my pH was dropping from 8.4 at water change time to 8.0 by the end of the week..

I'm using Red Sea salt in RO/DI water pre-dosed with Kent OsmoPrep

Your collective thoughts (yeah, I know, let well enough alone comes to my mind, too) about the xenia would be appreciated.

is this too much action at once?
