scubafrog
Need some help here! Just started up a 20gal nano and tossed in 10lb of GulfLiveRock. A week later and I have these little guys crawling around during the day/night. they seem to go wherever just munching along! Edit: they are really small. maybe half the size of a grain of rice Thanks a bunch! Quote Link to comment
Mariaface
Can you see what they're eating? I remember I had a moment when I couldn't tell if I got Pyramidellid or Rissoid snails on my rocks, but after noticing that they snacked on diatoms/detritus and didn't die due to my lack of prey, I figured rissoid. RayWhisperer
It's possible they are either rissoid, or pyramid. However, I'd be more likely to guess a baby cerith due to clarity of the photo. Ceriths are small, pyramids are tiny, and, from my understanding, rissoids are even smaller still. I've included a pic of pyramids on a typical astrea snail for size reference, as well as an ID aid if it is indeed small enough to be either of the other 2 species. 1 Quote Link to comment
