I'm Batman
This topic is based of off all the carbon dosing and kalwasser and everything else... In a 20 gallon mixed reef system with: mixed euphyllia zoanthids trumpets chalace anemone pocillopora mixed montiporas My water chemistry is pretty steady overall with weekly water changes. PH 8.9 - 8.0 dKh 9 - 10 Nitrates - 0 - 5 Ammonia - 0 Calcium 400 - 460 Magnesium 1400 - 1440 The question is: What exactly is considered low nutrient, some nutrient and high nutrients? Any input always welcome and thanks! 1 Quote Link to comment
1967type1
I may be wrong but the term nutrients isn't the measure of your nitrates or phosphates, but rather how much you feed the corals. Quote Link to comment
I'm Batman
Is this why my nano isn't thriving? Quote Link to comment
jeffmr4
Low nutrients 0 to 5 nitrate, < or = .03 phosphate, some nutrients 5 to 10 (or maybe sometimes 20), .03 to .1 phosphates, high nutrients > 20 or 50 nitrate and phosphate between .1 and .25 or greater than .25. Your water chemistry looks good. Corals usually do better in a little bit dirty water. You could try feeding more. As to why its not thriving we might need more information. Post pictures and more information about your setup e.g. flow, lighting, feeding, maintenance, additives, etc. 1 Quote Link to comment
