diznik Posted August 30, 2004 Share Posted August 30, 2004 Hey all, Getting back into the hobby after being away for a very long time because of monetary issues (keeping a tank in college is very hard), so excuse me if I sound like a noob. I was looking into possibly putting together a 7g reef, but I'm having trouble deciding on a lighting setup. I know that I'll probably have to discard my stock canopy and construct a new one, but I'm not very DIY saavy. Is there any place in particular I could find custom fitted hoods or lighting options that don't require handyman genes of their owners. Money is always an issue, but I'm willing to part with a little more now to make sure I get it right the first time. Opinions and other options are welcomed. smoothlarryhughes Posted August 30, 2004 Share Posted August 30, 2004 U can just do a search and find out alot of info. Most people go with the 32 watt retrofit for the minibow 7, or 2 of them. You can also go with a 70 watt metal halide. The retros are farely cheap though. Link to comment
