John L
Hi, can anyone identify this macro algae which appeared in my sump with my chaeto?? It seems to be growing faster than my chaeto. Also my chaeto has quite a lot of coraline growing on its surface, I'm trying to fill up my refugium but should I just tear out the coraline covered parts? Quote Link to comment

Thanks, I've googled it, sounds about right I think, it is very pretty iridescent blue and can grow fast. As it's in my fuge I'm sure it's soaking up my phosphates! Thanks again Weetabix7. 1 Quote Link to comment
Weetabix7
YW. It does grow pretty fast, try to keep it isolated to your fuge. Harvest it regularly and it can be a great nutrient exporter. 1 Quote Link to comment
