I bought the smartAto micro system. I have Fluval 13.5,where do I put the sensor inside the DP or on the back?

So just put it on the last chamber on return pump?

Yessir. Sensor goes in the same chamber as the return pump. The water spit out tube deal goes wherever you wanna put it. Make sure the end of that tube stays above the water. If it's submerged you gave the risk of siphoning water back into your ATO container. Should be explained in the directions. 

 

Edit: Just reread you post. The sensor does not go ON your return pump. Put it in the same chamber but at the level you want thebwater to be at. Am I making sense? Sorry not sober.
