Raising the temp to get rid of ich work?

I have combatted Freshwater ich before simply by gradually raising the temperature until the parasite went away. I was just wondering if this can be applied to SW as well.

no, it will increase the metabolism of the crypto and make the infection worse. quarantine and treatment with a fallow tank period of at least a month is the only viable option in a reef tank. hence the need for quarantine procedure.
