HowardJ
Need a little guidance with this light. I added some GSP and it went from metallic green the just brown. Not sure what color and intensity to set the light on. Its a 12 gallon JBJ nanocube This is the setting I had had it on when it browned out. Quote Link to comment
jeffmr4
I have gsp under mine at 60% color and 100% intensity and it is growing and green. Mine is 8" above the tank and the tank is 10" deep. Not sure if it is your light that is causing it but you could try a bluer spectrum and lower intensity. Also, how many hours per day do you have it on? Mine is 7 or 8. Quote Link to comment
HowardJ
I raised the intensity and lowered the color a little bit. The lights are on from ~11A to ~930P Quote Link to comment
HighCurrent
How tall is your tank and how far is the light from the water? Quote Link to comment
HowardJ
12" deep, 1" sandbed, light is ~ 5 inches off the water 1 Quote Link to comment
moosubi
I'm topping out at 50% spectrum on my 160 with an LPS dominant tank and they seem to be loving it. I do have a gsp in there and it doesn't seem to car what I throw at it, though I do have it isolated and in a corner. That being said 60% kessil is definitely leaning toward the white end of the spectrum which could give the appearance of browning. Quote Link to comment
