Sun polyps and a pico

biomekanic

Recommended Posts

Hi all (how time flies, last time I was here was May?!? WTH does the time go? ).

At any rate, I'm planning a desktop nano for work and was thinking of getting one of those little cubes that come with a 9w light and a HOB filter. I don't want to muck around with lights, and I got to thinking... A colony of sun polyps would look nice. Feed them several times a week with the HOB off, and do a water change after the feeding. Use either a 50/50 bulb or just an actinic.

Thoughts/ideas/comments welcome.

Sounds good to me. You're talking about the Aquavase, right? I have an aquavase and the one piece of advice I can give is to make sure to do your top-offs religiously. Water evaporates fast and will swing the ph very quickly.
