Wafflecopter
I noticed about a week after getting my clownfish that was properly quarantined he started showing two whitish pink patches on his right side. My first though was amonia burns but after several places testing the water it showed 0 amonia 0 nitrite and 0 nitrate. Salinity i keep between 1.0245 and 1.0255. Any ideas? Link to comment
Wafflecopter
Also are sapphire damsels known to be fin nippers as its obvious the clowns fins are damaged. The damsel and clown are the only fish in my 20l and were added at the same time from the same store. Link to comment
Christopher Marks
It could be a bacterial or fungal disease. Check out this clownfish disease ID page, particularly the Viral & Infectious Disease section: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/clnfshdisart.htm Do you have a quarantine system going at home? Wafflecopter
I didnt set one up for these two since they were the first livestock to go in but plan to convert my spare 5 gallon into a quarantine for future corals and maybe a shrimp and goby pair. Ill check the disease thread. Link to comment
