L.bacchus88 Posted March 17, 2017 Share Posted March 17, 2017 Hey, I seem to be getting these blue spots on my rock/shells in the tank. It's the color blue almost like oxidized metal. It's too hard to get a decent picture of it, cus the few spots are small. It doesn't rub off with a toothbrush. I haven't got a huge amount of coralline algae yet, not sure because of my leds, tank age or what, but idk what this blue crap is. Haha anyone ever see something like that? I use only RODI water and nothing seems off with my parameters. My tank has been running just over a year. Any ideas? Thanks Link to comment
RayWhisperer Posted March 18, 2017 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Without a pic, it's a tough call. However, I can honestly say, I've never seen blue spots. So, I'm not sure even a pic would help. However, I am thinking this may not be what it appears to be. Try turning off your tank lights and shine a regular flashlight on some of these spots. I'm guessing here, but they may be plain coralline that only looks blue because of the LED's. Just a guess, but worth a try. Link to comment
