Algae ID help?

The same algae (or whatever it is) that plagued my old 4g frag tank has popped up in the new 30g frag tank. A week ago, there was nothing, and now I have this growing on the frags, frag rack, and glass. It is easily removed with a brush but it doesn't blow off at all. Any ideas on what it is? And more importantly, what will eat it?

Peroxide works, but only for a few days, then it's back. Same for brushing it off. The snails and the hermit crab don't seem to be interested in it.

Looks like bryopsis to me. I have similar in my tank and I'm battling with that Fluco prescription

Results are overwhelmingly positive. After one dose I've noticed my snails are congregating at my bryo patches eating it up.

Thanks, and I might try the fluco just in case it works. I wondered if it was bryopsis when nothing ate it and Vibrant didn't seem to help either. But I thought bryopsis had more of a branching structure?

But if it looks just like yours and Fluco is working, then I'm all over it :)

Most of the branching I've seen is on heavily established patches. If you continue to treat it and rip it out it'll tend to stay less branchy. There are other pics in that thread that look similar to your algae.

Like you said- worth a shot! Good luck
