hickncali Posted August 23, 2004 Share Posted August 23, 2004 Just like power compacts they need to be changed after 12-14 months. I personly like more light then less so i would say go with the 250, over the 175/150. The 250 doesn't create to much more heat than the 175/150. If you go with either make sure that you do keep the bulb around 8-10" from the water surface so you don't fry your water and also so that you get light spread over your tank and not a spot light effect.
