Agreed with Burt.

 

If you're going to do it, you kind of have to do it right. Otherwise you will still have spent a lot of money and you might not get any enjoyment out of the process.

 

Going in half-assed is a surefire way to set yourself up for failure and/or disappointment. (I am not speaking from experience - just parroting what advanced hobbyist tend to say.)

Yup. The bigger the tank, the more expensive it gets.

 

Use more salt

Use more dosers

 

Need more rock, more sand

 

Lighting is very expensive. There is no cheap lighting.

 

Rocks, no way to really save. Dry reef rock, caribsea life rock, liverock all around the same.

 

I posted a price list, that will give you an idea of what you are looking at plus the tank.

I say go with an AIO like an IM or JBJ. That way you can spend your money on livestock and eqiupment. Or get a RSM Nano.
