What to do for ich?

Ok now that I know for sure that my tang's have Ich, I want to know what to do. Some people have told me that buying a Hospital tank would be required. Now, should I take the fish out and place them in the tank and medicate them. Or should I remove my inverts and corals and place medication on the primary tank? By the way, I only have 2 anemone's and 1 bubble coral.

take the fish out.if you put medication in your display tank you'll kill the rock and sand,bad.

raise water temp to 82 degrees, not to exceed 84

Hey Phiche, I thought that bringing up the temp was one of the main problems in tank getting Ich. I heard you get Ich by frequent temp changes?

frequent temperature changes do not cause ich

frequent temperature changes puts more stress on fish, and then they become more suspectible to getting infected with ich.

and raising the temp will increase the spread of the ich. not good in the main tank. after they have been medicated for about a week you can reaise the temp to speed up the life cycle of the ich. at any rate i would leave the fish out of the main tank for at least a month.
