It is white in color and has a little tentacle that extends out, but at the tip if this tentacle is a tiny ball like thing with more tentacles. Can someone ID and let me know if it is harmful? jestep Posted January 4, 2017 Share Posted January 4, 2017 Definitely hydroids, definitely a pest. Keep an eye out for them elsewhere in the tank. They do spread fairly easily. They typically aren't an issue in small numbers but they're basically like an immobile jellyfish and can sting coral and anything else that comes in contact with them. Link to comment
