Premiumaq
Interesting read. I have heard of pigment injections in other species as well. Some say injections are not invasive, what are your thoughts?!http://www.azula.com/hybrid-flowerhorn-cichlid-controversy/ Link to comment
burtbollinger
an injection by its very nature is...invasive. not a fan. I don't even get into over-bred looking fish with odd colors/patterns, let alone ones injected with colorings. "Some say..." Some people will say almost anything...nothing surprises me. Certainly doesn't surprise me that people are into and justify weird, and somewhat tacky things. People are putting neon lighting on their cars. Men are wearing plastic hoofs and watching My Little Pony. I still see people wearing Ed Hardy. Messing with and injecting fish...just slightly creepier and gets into a bit of an ethical issue, but hey, what can you do? There's clearly a market. Different strokes... Link to comment
graemevw
Injecting or otherwise dyeing fish is illegal in the uk, has been for years. Link to comment
Newstead
The US should take a hint from the UK - no docking, cropping of dogs , glad to hear they also ban injections. We still have too many people here with the shoot 'em, do whatever to animals mentality. Link to comment
