Angel Posted August 20, 2004 Share Posted August 20, 2004 I used some hose (peds actually), to put the white sand in, to seed my black in a pico. I have never used it in my HOB (just for flow). I don't see why it wouldn't work if you use new ones that have been rinsed really well in some super hot water. I wouldn't use used ones as they may contain soap, softener, oils and such in them. impur Posted August 20, 2004 Share Posted August 20, 2004 I use pantyhose socks all the time to help seed new tanks. You could use one of these for a media bag no problem. Just be sure to wash it or change it out every so often. Link to comment
