cheesenachos
Hey all, Have a IM Nuvo 10 that I've been building for the last few weeks. Started cycling in the middle of September. Had all 0's last week, so I pulled the trigger on some corals. They came in yesterday but just weren't perking up today so I did some testing. Looks like I'm going through another cycle. Had detectable ammonia, nitrates and nitrites. Did a 2.5 gallon water change immediately. Ammonia cleared but nitrates and nitrites were still up. Got rid of the piece of fish for cycling that was still in the tank. Plan to do another water change tomorrow with some higher salinity salt water since it was low. My last tank was about 30 gallons and so I'm surprised by how volatile the parameters are. Everyone says the smaller you go, the swings are more apparent, but I didn't expect this much. Anyways, green stars are looking happier. There's many more open now than there were earlier today. Buttons are still finicky though. Ricordeas look like they are loving life. Hoping more water changes do the trick! Will upload some photos later. Link to comment
cheesenachos
Battled some hair algae and I think things are on the mend now. Here are a few shots with my iPhone. My leather is acting silly. It was flopped over the other way this morning and I moved it to see maybe if it wanted to more flow. What did it do? Flopped over the other way! FTS. Side shot! Frogspawn and my derpy toadstool. Pink hammer. Kenya tree. Still not sure where to put this guy but he seems happy there. Green star rock with a little bald spot... Button polyps. Ricordea.
